I think the song's nice! Soothing, and touching too. The lyrics complements the MV well...

Nice tune,interesting duet by Fei Yu Qing and Jay, even though there's a clash of 'old' & 'new' style of singing. But both singers are great! I think this song's so suitable for Fei Yu Qing haha... Beautiful song.. and notice Jay's much clearer diction, & there's no slurring of words! Prbably cos he needs to pei4 he2 Fei Yu Qing's perfect Mandarin haha..

I pre-ordered his album already! Eeven though I said I had no high expectations, but I'm still looking forward to his album! Is it a contradiction? haha..

Lee Hom Heroes of Earth World Tour!! 21st Oct!!

Yay!! Woo hoo!! Lee Hom's finally coming to Singapore for his Heroes of Earth World Tour! I thought he has forgotten Singapore already... Waited for his concert until neck long long, finally, he's coming!!

The last time he came, I enjoyed his concert tremondously! He's such a talented musician.. gosh.. & so handsome.. haha..

王力宏！你终于要来开演唱会了！不知道知你又会带来观众多少震撼呢？上一次你360度地旋转打鼓，又拉小提琴又弹吉他又弹钢琴，真是迷死人了！这次你会拉二胡吗？还是会唱京剧？哈哈！ 好期待哦！

random thoughts

School has started for only a week, and already I'm dozing off in lectures... sigh...

Jay's new album is going to be released in beginning of September, but I don't have very high expectations... cos he's so busy with his movies and all, and it's not even a year from his last album.

I watched an interesting documentary on Animal Planet, and it was about monks in Thailand living with tame tigers. Really a compassionate monk. He said that we and the tigers and the animals have the same blood, which is red. But how many humans can think that way?? Humans always think that they are superior to animals.

I watched another documentary on crocodiles, and it talked of how the croc numbers dwindled because of excessive killing for their skin, and then the same crocodile hunters are now trying to protect the crocs, and I don't think it's truly because they feel guilty, but because they won't have enough crocs to kill in time to come..

Anyway, David Tao's( 陶吉吉 haha) album is not too bad. Typical "陶式情歌" & typical David Tao's mid-tempo/RnB-ish songs. Maybe not his best, but there are nice songs inside. Easy-listening. I especially recommend "Olia". Very soothing. Beautiful."Walk On" & "追" 's nice too. Feel great listening to these mid-tempo songs. The song with Jolin sucks though. Can't stand it.

FIR's new album: Hmm I didn't really like it after a few listenings. I don't know why. Maybe cos I haven't listened enough.But some songs like 雨樱花， 1234567 & 你很爱他 are worth listening to.

On the contrary, I would highly recommend Tong En (同恩)，Rebecca Tong's new album, 不准哭. This is her 2nd album. In her first album, she had a rock-chick, full of attitude kind of image. In this 2nd album, she shed her super-cool image for a quieter, introspective feel. But her vocals are still the same - super powerful and strong. The songs are not the usual mainstream ballads, but are rather different. I first heard "不准哭" through the fantastic headphones in HMV, and I loved the song so much! It's so heart-wrenching, & I think it's reverse phsychology, cos it does make you feel like crying..."一下下" was written by Eric Ng & Xiaohan, so needless to say, it's another great, soothing song. Anyway, I thought almost all the songs sound good. I also liked 爱伤的提琴手，不懂 & 相爱, which she sang a duet with Van Fan, 范逸臣。

Louis Koo 古天乐！！！

I saw Louis Koo @ Junction 8 today!!! He was there to promote the Osim I-medic Massage Chair~! Wonder if you guys saw his advertisement on TV, but he's now the spokesperson for this new model of massage chair.

Sharon Au was the host. She's quite pretty, fair, & has good complexion. Funny too. But she got "suaned" a lot by Louis Koo, cos she can't speak Cantonese fluently. Pardon me, but it was quite hilarious. Her Cantonese. I was laughing half the time. Louis Koo was quite scornful haha.. but he's probably just joking, to lighten up the mood, 搞气氛. But he's really handsome! And dashing! Tall, dark, handsome! Muscular! Can actually see his bulging biceps haha..like his dimples too! Especially charming when he smiles. but he's really really dark. Like his deep, low voice too haha..

But he didn't seem very happy though, in fact, a little proud. Maybe he's tired? I don't know. Oh his Chinese was hilarious too. "Jin dao, shi tou, bu" (剪刀`石头`布）. Scissors, paper， stone. Heavily Cantonese-accented haha..to think he could still laugh at Sharon Au's poor Cantonese. But seriously, Singapore's so lousy meh? No hosts / emcees who can speak Cantonese properly?? They should have asked me ma!! Hahha..However, I probably can't speak coherently on stage with him though..too kan cheong!! =)

He's my all-time favourite Hong Kong actor. Witnessed his transition, from "fair-skinned, centre-parting hairstyle, pretty boy" to "super-dark, muscular, crewcut hairstyle manly-man". Hahha.. loved his "Burning Flame" (烈火雄心) and "A Step Into the Past" (寻秦记)serials the most. Hopefully he can have more projects to come!

I can't write detailed movie reviews, but both are fantastic, in my opinion. Wonderful acting by the cast. Moving.

Good movies are hard to come by now, you know.

Watched The Lake House starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock and liked the songs. Here are a few songs I found on the internet. I particularly liked Paul McCartney's "This Never Happened Before". Thought it complemented the movie very well haha..

The movie's major flaw may be because it can never happen in real life, but I think that's also what makes it beautiful.

picnic!

Can't believe I'm really so free until like that. I actually went for a picnic today! Can't imagine. While I was sitting there, taking in the greenery & eating, listening to the rustling of the leaves, I kept thinking how lucky I am to have the luxury of the time to be doing that right then!



Anyway, picnic's fun! or visiting the park or gardens is fun! It's a great escape from the city, concrete, traffic etc. I like the trees, the greenery, the fields. I remember people used to tell me that looking at the colour green is good for the eyes. Indeed, I feel very relaxed looking at the greenery, especially in the park. Although in my opinion Singapore's parks can't hold a candle to those in other countries such as Australia, Europe etc, but I'm still glad that we have such parks, n that we actually have quite a bit of greenery here, especially the roadside trees. I think sometimes when we're travelling on the road, it may be better if we look out of the window instead of sleeping, or sms-ing away on our phones. The different shades of green of the bushes and the trees are amazing. haha..

I think, and I hope, that this won't be my first & last picnic! heeheehee...
